An Open Letter To Obama Voters

So you voted for Barrack Obama, again, to be our President and you're celebrating your victory today. You're emailing and calling all your Conservative friends and rubbing it in, as if it were a sporting event in which you each supported different teams. But it's not a sporting event, it's the fate of our country that hung in the balance of this election. You made your choice against traditional American values as outlined by the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, but in doing so you have also earned the responsibility to explain your decision to your children and grandchildren.
Someday you must explain to your children and grandchildren why over 70% of their earnings are being confiscated by the federal government to pay for health care and other social programs. Additionally, you will have to explain to them why their grandparents and great-grandparents are being rationed to death by a health care system that now allows bureaucrats to choose who lives and who dies. You must explain why as Americans, even if we had the money, we can no longer travel anywhere abroad for fear of being kidnapped and murdered by Islamic extremists. You must tell your children and grandchildren that the decision you made in the 2012 Presidential election has lead to the terrorist attacks they now have to endure as they live their daily lives. Your children and grandchildren will know that it was your decision to re-elect Barack Obama that has caused a high percentage of their peers to be without work most of their adult lives, requiring them to live off a tiny pittance provided by the government. You will have to explain to your children and grand-children that in the free days of their country, people had access to as much energy as they wanted, anytime they wanted it and didn't have their energy rationed to them by the federal government. You, and you alone, will have to explain to your children and grandchildren why, when the liberty that heroes of the past spilled their blood to defend, you couldn't summon enough courage to vote in defense of that liberty. You will have to explain to your progeny why you chose the empty promises of a nanny-state over the liberty and prosperity of an opportunity society.
Someday, if your ignorance hasn't completely blunted your senses, you will realize that this one decision will have had dire consequences that will span generations. You will have to explain to your children and grand-children that the liberty and prosperity enjoyed by over 200 years of Americans, was voted away by you for purely short-term and selfish reasons. God help you when your children and grand-children look at you with despair in their eyes and ask why you condemned them to a dark and desperate future where their only subsistence depends, not on their own ambition and drive, but on crumbs from an ever-expanding government. This is the country and the world you have left, not only for your own descendants, but for the descendants of all Americans. So celebrate your grand accomplishment. How does it feel?

  1. My tax dollars should be spent on preserving lives not warmongering and cronyism. I'd rather go down with a ship that helps those in need than get rich alone. We are only as strong as our weakest link. It's NOT the government's fault if the needy abuse welfare. Small government requires self government. When we take care of our neighbor, welfare will disappear. When we stop looking for loopholes in every piece of legislation, our judicial system will shrink. When we self govern and help others, our government can get out of the charity business. Until then, welfare IS pro life. I will vote for humanity instead of greed any day.....

    1. The bigger the crutch you give people...the more lazy they will become. Socialism is taking lots of money from most people, and giving very little of it back. The only ones who are well off are the few powerful people at the top. Eventually the rich run out of money...then we are all poor together. P.S. Obama is the definition of cronyism. Hundreds of millions of tax money go to his supporters. Solyndra is just ONE example. Do you live with you eyes closed?

    2. I see you have mustered all the grey matter in your brain to leave your reply to my post. Thank you for illustrating my point about Obama voters.

    3. the only reason I can imagine that you feel the ship is the one to help the suffering is because you do nothing yourself, give nothing to charity, ignore your aging parents' needs, do no useful volunteer work that helps specifically the helpless, and would rather outsource your generosity.
Not I. You're nanny state can take most from me to give a little to the poor and the rest to cronies, but with what I have left I will give my share to the helpless, and though I find little sympathy for you in me I will pray even for your sake.

    4. Actually if you look at the studies, and the Arthor Brooks book, "Who Really Cares", it is Conservatives that donate more money and time to charity than Liberals, mucch, much more, it's not even close.

    5. As noted in another article, charity is the responsibility of an individual, not a government. Charities, thousands of them, operate all day every day, and do so without stealing money from their donors. They do so without losing money, and help many people. Why oh why would you vote to have your government be that charity, and do so by stealing your money, and wasting it on buearocratic red-tape, waste, fraud etc...and as noted above, let us take the two prime examples, Romney donated 23% of his income last year to charities, Obama donated 1% of his income to charities. And I assure you, 23% of Romney's income was a hell of a lot more than 1% of Obama's, like $5million to $100K. Who do you think donates more to charity??

  2. We are either going to live by the Constitution or we are not. If we say we are, then as Madison said, "There is no charity in the constitution." Local churches and communities administer charity more honestly and better than the Federal government can ever hope to. I see you're big on platitudes, so here's one for you, "The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen." I will always vote with bigger citizens than bigger government, it makes for a more fair and just society everytime. Thanks for you comment.

  3. I don't think Cajun Milk Cow disagrees that local churches administer charity more honestly and better than the Federal government does. I think he's saying that since too few people are good church going folk that tithe and donate, that the churches don't have the capacity to take over all the charity needs of the nation. He's saying if we all gave enough and were honest people, then there would be almost no need for the Federal government. Alas that is simply not the case. The communists made the same mistake counting on human decency when in reality it is in short supply when it isn't mandated. Taxes mandate a certain amount of donation (not 70%) that is used for many things including charity and relief for disaster victims.

    1. It simply isn't true that it has to be mandated. IRS data shows that when taxes are low, people give more to charity. And when tax rates climb, charitable donations fall. Don't forget it was Carneigie, Rockefeller and just about every other millionaire and billionaire that funded foundations that have done more for the downtrodden than government could ever dream of doing.

  5. Those who voted for Obama 1) do not believe it will result in more confiscation of their wealth (hollywood, millionaires, etc) or 2) believe he will give them more benefits from the government (47%).

Those who voted for Obama do not believe that they will have anything to explain away because we will have a utopia if Obama can realize his dream of fundamentally transforming our country.

Those who voted for Obama will never connect the disastrous results with Obama because they are still blaming Bush.

Those who voted for Obama will never take responsibility for the coming destruction of the greatest country on God's green Earth.

Therefore, they will never be able to explain to their children and grandchildren how it happened, and futhermore, their children will never ask because they will live with the new reality all their lives, without any recognition of what freedom they are missing. (see current people under 30 - they have always lived with abortion, so it's no big deal).

Those who voted for Obama in 2012 will remain blameless forevermore...until Judgement Day. On that day, they will be so surprised to find out just what their vote cost all of us, but it will be too late to explain why they did not believe.

  6. Actually....it feels great! Oh, sure, go ahead and call me names (how mature) and throw all those insults about liberals...I don't care. My candidate won and I am feeling very relieved and optimistic. You mention taunting my republican friends...and I actually have some! But do you actually have any liberal friends? I would assume, by the way liberals are considered here, that you would NEVER socialize with "those people". Anyway, try and get over it, its only 4 years...maybe your side will have better luck next time, but if you all stay as bitter, angry and deranged as this poster:

"Those who voted for Obama will never take responsibility for the coming destruction of the greatest country on God's green Earth."

    don't count on it.

    1. You're a little defensive since I didn't call you names or insult you, unless the truth is an insult to you. Maybe someday, when this ever-expanding government crushes you, you will fianally understand what I am saying. And yes I do have Liberal freinds and they try to think with their feelings just as you apparently do. But keep reading my blog, if you have the courage to learn something new.
